In a vision—I saw the Lord standing before me. He was encouraging me to come unto Him. As I approached—it seemed I passed right through the thin veil of His garment and momentarily found myself in Him. It was an indescribably wonderful place to be—outside of time and chaos. It was a delightful place of rest where I had the opportunity to stay and learn from Him. Even though my first experience was very brief—I learned it wasn’t just a onetime event, nor was it just for me.  Jesus—himself—said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these” (Matthew 19:14 NIV).

Remember the veil in the ancient temple separating the holy of holies and the presence of God from the people and their sin? When Jesus gave His life on the cross for each one of us—the veil of separation was torn in two. Ripped open because of what He accomplished. Through Him—our sin is covered and intimate fellowship with our Father has been restored.

We can freely come to Him and stay as long as we like. What a treasure it is to spend time alone with Him. It really is the best part of every day! His invitation is open to all! Just close your eyes and see Him standing right in front of you. At first it may be a faint impression—but just go with it. He is there and He is saying “Come Unto Me.” If you have difficulty—just ask Him to show you what’s in the way and what He wants to do about it. It's His will! He wants to be with you even more than you want to be with Him. Just believe!

Come Unto Me

“Come unto me all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy and my burden is light” (Matthew 11:28 NIV).
