Glory Through the Ages
On the morning of December 9th, 2023, as I closed my eyes in prayer, a vivid and profound vision unfolded before me so life-like that it felt as if I had been transported to another realm. Before this vision, I had been listening to a song proclaiming the power, and the might, and the life in the name of Jesus— the name that breaks every stronghold.[1] In sharing both the vision and this song, I believe the Lord is revealing His intent to restore the full weight of His name and glory to His Church. But for this restoration to manifest, His kingdom gates must be lifted up and ready for the ministry of His glory.
In the vision, I stood in the void of space, surrounded by the vastness of the universe. Before me sat Jesus, cross-legged in a pow-wow position. In the stillness of His presence with hands gently extended in open invitation—I sensed His deep desire to confer with me as if saying, “Come now, and let us reason together.”[2] Though my heart longed to sit close beside Him, Jesus gracefully motioned with His left-hand redirecting my gaze to see what He was meditating on and manifesting.
My focus shifted to a breathtaking sight: the interior of a magnificent gold-and-white cathedral adorned with arches, wooden pews, and an open heaven for a ceiling. But the most awe-inspiring was a river of thick golden mist flowing down the aisles, deepening and spreading on its way to the altar. It was a river of God’s glory, manifesting through the power of Jesus’ mindful meditation.
The thoughts of Jesus had just become a reality before my very eyes, yet I was speechless when His next communication came to me through thought. I was to walk around behind Jesus and take my place in the gap between the two women already standing to His right. Our assignment was simple: to observe as He fills His cathedral—His seat of authority and power—with His glory.
In stark contrast to the chaos of the world, Jesus—seated in perfect rest—is actively restoring His pow and His wow to His Church, but not without our participation. He is inviting us to a divine pow-wow—to meditate with Him, to manifest His heart, and to demonstrate the glory of His kingdom on earth. Unafraid and undistracted by the noise of the enemy, His focused worshippers—His royal ambassadors—are called to boldly magnify His goodness before a world that is watching and waiting.
Even quantum physics acknowledges that our thoughts and observations influence outcomes—energizing particles to manifestation. This phenomenon, known as the Quantum Observance Effect, has the power to spark what scientists refer to as a quantum leap. Now imagine the effect of our focused attention on God as He manifests His glory. Could it be that our observance moves the heart of God—that He Himself leaps with joy as we behold and bear witness to His manifest glory and goodness?
Also, Proverbs reminds us that, “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.”[3] Our thoughts, meditations, and focus are strategic to advancing God’s Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. Whether sitting or standing, His observant watchmen must remain in a posture of resting in Him.
Ruth Ward Heflin once prophesied that the glory of the Lord is rest—and as we learn how to rest in Him, His glory within us increases. And when that increase comes, it brings an even greater glory.[4] Scripture confirms this truth, declaring, “His resting place will be glorious.”[5] So we rest in His glory, His inherent goodness—confident that He is working all things together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. From this place of rest, we co-labor with Him for the greater glory and the greater works with signs, wonders, and miracles.
As I reflected on the vision, I began to wondered why I was instructed to walk behind Jesus before standing in the gap between the women on His right side. Then I remembered the moment when God caused all His goodness to pass before Moses—and suddenly, it became clear. I was meant to look back—behind Jesus—into the deep wells of history, at the countless ways God has revealed His goodness to every generation “through the ages.”
Our faithful God—the Ancient of Days—has been with us through every season, every trial, and every triumph. By remembering His goodness in the past, we find strength to trust Him in the present and hope to believe in His faithfulness for the future. Surely, His goodness and unfailing love will pursue us all the days of our lives.[6]
As I prepared to sketch the altar in the cathedral, I sought the Lord for direction. In response I heard these lyrics echo in my spirit: “Blessing and Honor, Glory and Power be unto the Ancient of Days.”[7] Without question, I knew that I was being commissioned to paint the Ancient of Days Himself—seated on His fiery throne, clothed in snow-white garments, His hair like pure white wool, and a river of fire flowing out from before Him[8]—in place of the traditional church altar. Then I heard the Lord speak directly to my spirit, “This painting is to be an altar to the glory of God—acknowledging that He is the Ancient of Days.”
Dutch Sheets once shared a word from the Lord: “If you build an altar, I’ll show up everytime.”[9] So this painting has become more than a work of prophetic art—it is an invitation for His presence, and an altar of honor, to the glory of God Himself—the Ancient of Days.
As recorded in Daniel’s prophetic vision, when the Ancient of Days takes His seat, He pronounces judgement in favor of the holy people of the Most High—and the appointed time comes for them to possess the kingdom.[10] Until that moment, the enemy had been boasting, warring, and wearing down the saints seeking to alter times and laws.
But “behold, “One like the Son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven! He came to the Ancient of Days, and they brought Him near before Him. Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom the one which shall not be destroyed.”[11]
Made kings and priests by Him, through His death and resurrection, we—the holy people of the Most High—are called to serve Him by standing in the gap with Christ in intercession. Together with Him, we will manifest His glory, possess His kingdom and reign with Him forever and ever.[12] With His great favor, we will pursue this—our high calling—until every knee bows before His throne in worship and every tongue declares His glory.[13] For His kingdom reigns—and it shall never pass away!
Halleluiah! The earth is being filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters fill the sea.[14] Remarkably, the cathedral that I was shown in the vision is not just heavenly—it exists here on earth, in Honolulu, Hawaii. I caught a fleeting glimpse of it in the final seconds of the credits of a film titled, “Two Tickets to Paradise.”[15] I believe the title’s “two tickets,” symbolize the double grace God is extending to us—His living temples—to carry and manifest His glory, the very atmosphere of heaven’s paradise, throughout all the earth—His grand cathedral.
I hear a voice shouting, “Prepare the way in the wilderness for the Lord…Then the great glory of the Lord will appear! All the people will see it …Look! The Almighty Lord is coming with power.” And the “people who wait for the Lord to help them will receive new strength.”[16]
Now, His Bride is arising prepared and radiant to be His holy house of miracles. With eyes opened to see what He sees. Ears tuned to hear His voice. Mouths surrendered to speak His words. And hearts purified—eager to respond in swift obedience. All creation has been groaning for this—to see the goodness of His image revealed through His mature sons and daughters. He has been preparing us for such a time as this.
As part of both my physical and spiritual preparation to paint and write this story, I underwent cataract surgery—trading cloudy lenses for clear ones—to improve my vision. A few days before the first procedure, while praying, I drifted into a very deep sleep. Gently but firmly, I was awakened when I felt the Lord’s hand under my chin, lifting my bowed head as He whispered, “I am the lifter of your head. You will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.”[17] Immediately, I fell back asleep, but with my head resting against the chair. Once again, I felt His hand lifting my head, but this time He whispered, “I am the lifter of your head. You will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living and in the land of the enemy.” Hearing this—His rhema word—gave me the confidence to go forward in faith, believing that I would indeed see His goodness.
That evening, standing under a streetlamp, I was amazed to be able to see the beautiful pattern on my new Vivity Extended Depth of Focus lens. As depicted in the painting’s open portal in the clouds, it shimmered with four concentric rings of radiating glistening white rays. Pondering this, I knew the Lord was showing me something deeper: to look through my new lens portals, at the extended depths of His love and redemptive goodness through the ages and in the everyday.
It is in His perfect love that we find true rest—from fear, torment, and all the striving of this world.[18] Without the lens of His love, we lose both our peace and our power, leaving the door open to the enemy instead of the glory of God. Without seeing through His love lens, how can we truly love others?
The sheer goodness of His love is what inspired the title, “Glory, Through the Ages.” It came to me while listening to a song about standing amazed in His presence and love. The song ends with the lyrics, “How wonderful, how marvelous is my Savior’s love for me!...Twill be my joy through the ages to sing of His love for me.”[19]
Speaking of His love, I saw Jesus, in another vision, gently washing the filth from my feet—and I know, He longs to do the same for you. Daily, we must allow Him not only to cleanse our feet, but also our hearts and minds from the defilements and the difficulties of the paths we have walked. He desires to heal the bitter and broken places within us—those wounds that cloud our vision and keep us from fully seeing His love and goodness.
You and I are His precious gates, ministers of His glory. So, “Lift up your heads, you gates; be lifted up you ancient doors, that the King of Glory may come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong & mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.”[20]
We long to see Him exalted—enthroned within His living temples—Jesus all glorious.[21] We would despair if we did not believe we would see the goodness of God in both the land of the living and the land of our enemies.[22] We may not be able to SEE the future but we can Taste and See the goodness of the One who is seated on His eternal throne. “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power, and wealth, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and praise.”[23]
The Lord is calling us to repent of our lackluster expectation and to cross over into the NOW season when prophecies manifest and suddenlies are released.[24] “We are to be His dwelling places of power—His houses of miracles—where demons flee and His kingdom triumphs.[25] With heads lifted up to the King of glory, we will taste, see, and declare the goodness of God.[26] Through the ages—the kingdom of God has triumphed and His promises have remained true. The gates of hell will not prevail against His power flowing through us.[27]
The Lord has prepared a lavish banqueting table before us with all we need for life, love, and fulfillment—in the presence of our enemies. Every other provision is counterfeit—fool’s gold reeking of sulfur, which Holy Spirit is exposing to remove. No longer will we run to the demonic altars, or shallow wells of men and their idols, to meet our needs. Only will we bow, and worship at the holy altar of the Ancient of Days. Only will we drink from the deep well of His everlasting covenant with men.
Unlike the fleeting reserves of men—whose gold can vanish in a day—the supply of the King of kings is inexhaustible and eternal. Every drop drawn from His well is saturated with glory. This is the reason I was sent: to paint the golden glory of God filling His holy cathedral—at a historical location on Jekyll Island, Georgia. It was there that a few powerful men once gathered to form the Federal Reserve. Yet now, God has reclaimed it to redeemed it for His glory.
Before I arrived, I learned that Jekyll Island rests along the 31° North latitude—the very same as Be’er-Sheva in Israel, home of Abraham’s Well, also known as the Well of Covenant or the Well of Seven, which is a symbol of divine fulfillment.
Just as Isaac honored his father Abraham by building an altar at that well[28] and calling upon the name of the Lord, we too gathered on Jekyll Island to build an altar of honor—to the goodness of God our Father and His eternal covenant with us. As every generation must, we came to lift up our heads in worship to the King of kings whose glory always surpasses, outlasts, and overthrows the counterfeit systems of men.
We are living in the age of God’s goodness—an appointed hour to see His promises fulfilled, hearts awakened, and His glory poured out like never before. Now is the time to reclaim and restore the ancient wells of revival—to unstop the deep wells of His glory, overflowing with signs, wonders, and miracles.
Prior to the gathering, a trusted prophet, intercessor, and friend shared a vision of an ancient well—dark and very deep, yet brimming with fresh water infused with liquid gold. Each time water was drawn, more gold layered the surface. She saw the well as a hidden treasure with endless supply, and felt it was a significant honor for those who drank from it. All at once, she saw this ancient well in multiple dimensions—backwards, forwards, past, present, and future. Ancient waters, alive with golden liquid glory.
The vision of the ancient well came to her the moment she simply read my name in a text. I believe this ties back to the beginning of the story—to the song declaring the power, might, and life in the name of Jesus to break every stronghold. Now, He is calling us forth by name. Just as in the days of Noah, when “all the springs of the great deep burst forth,”[29] so now, the floodgates of His deep wells of glory are being opened within us. Created in His image, entrusted with the authority of His name, and filled with His Spirit—we are His ancient wells, prepared to pour out the greater glory.
Lift up your heads, O you gates for the King of Glory to come in and take His rightful throne. For we are His living temples, and together we are His radiant, glory-filled cathedral—His holy ground. Wherever we dwell, wherever we walk, He is there—the ever present , Eternal King of Glory.
As I came to the end of this story, I sensed a strong prompting to include a portion of the lyrics from the “Battle Hymn of the Republic.”[30]
Verse 1 -Mine eyes have SEEN the glory of the coming of the Lord…
Verse 2 -I have SEEN Him in the watch-fires of a hundred circling camps. They have builded Him an altar in the evening dews & damps. I can read His righteous sentence by the dim & flaring lamps. His day is marching on. GLORY, GLORY, HALLELUIAH! His day is marching on…
Verse 4 – He has sounded forth the trumpet that shall never call retreat. He is sifting out the hearts of men before His judgment seat. Oh, be swift, my soul, to answer Him! Be jubilant, my feet! Our God is marching on. GLORY, GLORY, HALLELUIAH! Our God is marching on.
Verse 5 – In the beauty of the lilies Christ was born across the sea. With a glory in His bosom that transfigures you & me. As He died to make men holy, let us die to make men free. While God is marching on. GLORY, GLORY, HALLELUIAH! While God is marching on.
Author’s Note:
To those who have graciously spent time observing this painting and reading its testimony—I applaud you. In doing so, you’ve initiated what quantum physics calls the “collapse of a wave function”—or as I like to say, you’ve popped a QWF. And every time someone does this, the glory intensifies. I witnessed it firsthand every time I showed the painting. With every observance, I had to paint more layers, more detail, and more depth of golden glory. I often wondered if I would ever be truly finished.
Now, at last, I’ve completed the painting and its story. But in truth, this is just the beginning. Now it's your turn. I pray you are inspired to keep observing His glory—past, present, and future. Because when you observe and expect it, you help release it. Let’s keep marching forward into the greater glory and the greater works.
